Lal Kitab was originally written in Persian
and Urdu and was very much part and parcel of Arabian Islamic culture. Yet some
people like to believe that it is steeped in Indian culture. They say that when
Ravana lost power due to arrogance, he also lost possession of Lal Kitab which later
surfaced in a place called Aaad in Arabia, where it got translated into Urdu and
Persian. Reportedly, Lal Kitab is now kept in the Lahore library (Pakistan) and
the name of the author on the cover is Rupchand Sharma. It is not known how and
when Rupchand Sharma became the author. The origin of Lal Kitab is subject to speculations;
it has withstood the test of the time and proved its utility as a feasible and scientific
branch of astrology.
Lal Kitab offers the easiest remedies for the most difficult and harmful situations.
These tested and proved remedies are beneficial for bettering health, business and
finances.
Lal Kitab is written as couplets which forewarns of difficult situations in life
and advises to take precautions. For example, if a person is told that it may rain
while he goes out, he will take an umbrella along with him. While Lal Kitab states
that the destiny of a person is pre-determined, its influence can be checked to
a certain extent. Just as a human body tries to adjust to nature by wearing warm
clothes in winter and light coloured clothes in summer and drink cold water in the
hot summer, Lal Kitab suggests that the influence of planets on human lives can
be altered through specific remedies. For example, if there is mental tension due
to the negative effect of a certain planet, then wearing silver and using silver
tumbler may reduce it, likewise if the positive influence of a particular planet
is very less in an individuals life, he/she can increase it though a material connected
with that planet.
To sum up, Lal Kitab has probed and proved that everything on earth is effected
by planetary movements and every planet has both positive and negative effects.
There are twelve signs in the natural zodiac zone and twelve houses in the horoscope.
The first house is always represented by Mars.
These houses can have an impact on intelligence, education, career, marriage, health
and long life.
